The GRD group of companies has a simple, over-arching philosophy when it comes to safety; there can be no compromise

The well being of our employees, clients and contractors is our number one priority. It is a principle that has no geographical boundaries and applies wherever we are working in the world.

GRD has demonstrated that 'zero harm' is a realistic target through sound leadership and company wide commitment.

Our company has adopted an initiative focusing on health and safety as everyone's responsibility. In conjunction with a dedicated safety management team and clear guidelines, every person associated with the company, whether site or office based, is responsible for their own safety and the well being of their colleagues.

Furthermore, in consultation with personnel, a GRD Group safety motto was developed early in 2007. 'Engineering a safer workplace' appropriately captures the health and safety culture that pervades our company.

It's more than just words.

GRD's continued focus on health and safety is evidenced by Kirfield being awarded the prestigious monthly contractor safety award four times at BHP Billiton's Ravensthorpe Nickel Project in Western Australia. The same project, which was managed by GRD Minproc in joint venture, ranked number one for safety performance among BHP Billiton's 44 Australian assets.
